Dr. Detweiler has been practicing dentistry since 1979. A native of Lafayette, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of the Pacific. He attended University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA.

He focuses on comprehensive patient care, with a special devotion to laser, cosmetic and sedation dentistry. Dr. Detweiler spends a great deal of time with continuing education, especially in the area of new dental technology. He believes that patient education is the most important aspect of practicing modern dentistry. Laser and digital cosmetic imaging are two new technologies he uses, allowing him to communicate more effectively with his patients.

Dr. Detweiler is a member and received his accreditation from Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.

He resides in Danville with his wife, Lisa. They are actively involved in community affairs and enjoy many outdoor activities, such as hiking, hunting, and golf.
